    Give fake name.

Give phone number of your desk at client co

When agent calls up fishing say "yes, I am looking to hire 5 or 6 contractors in next month or so"

Have greasy agent come and take you and a contractor chum (say is bod from HR) out for expensive drinks and dinner to "discuss requirements".

Next day when agent calls to follow up, say budget has been cut. But thanks for the steak.
The Mods stole my post count!

      "us good agents"?

There are so many things wrong with that, that I don't know where to start.

They do this because the 'contractor liason' people who are normally charged with this kind of rubbish are a bunch of monkeys who haven't got a clue.

If you haven't guessed, i had the same problems with them, told them to jog on as I had no other references to give them and I'm still in the same role(unfortunately)

They then asked me to produce identification, which I had already produced before I started the contract...I think you can see where this is going.
