Admittedly, there are about 4 or 5 possibles in the wings, but nothing concrete yet..The "Fit" hits the "Shan" -
i got offered a months extension (to the end july) but i asked to leave a little early to help me transition to a new client. this is my penultimate week. been here a year and two months and enough is enough already. mind you, if i hadn't already got something lined up i would have been trying to squeeze more out of it!Comment

I am up in Oct - but sick of clientco and looking elsewhere. This is because I am not "gainfully employed". I am here to, in effect, shovel s**t from one pile to anothewr and take the blame.
I already have an interview lined up.Comment

There seems to be plenty of healthy renewals going on in the main forum, plus the various contractors here all seem to be getting plenty of calls. Times are good but I suspect a slowdown is imminent ( been saying that for a while now though )Comment

I've got till the middle of September, but most the work is already done and the rest is documentation and hanging around for when the app goes Live in case there's some crisis or other. I really want to start looking for the next job, but this one is ultra-convenient for home and pays quite well and they're good people, so I'm taking the easy option and hanging around.
So brace yourselves for a massive collapse of the contract market come September.Comment
