    The weather is uncomfortable, so you move from your air-conditioned car to your air-conditioned office then back to your air-conditioned home. By staying inside you also avoid the insects.

    Can't help you with the hurricanes...

        I'd be happy to just get the offer to work there. I think $110k would be ok, but never seen a move to the US as a realistic option due to the visa issues.

          I was based in Richardson and lived in Addison. Went to Oasis FM show at Las Calinas! You adapt to the heat and cultivate the art of seamlessly moving from AC to AC (unless you are sitting by the pool admiring the totty of course! )

          I would go back tomorrow if I had obtained my green card - now visas are an issue.

            Bit of a blur ( I blame the heat for how much beer I drank out there - that's my story and I'm sticking to it) but from memory the totty was superb
