    Quick question about an invoice

Hello - I need to draw up an invoice for some work I've been doing over the past few months for a client. It hasn't been 9-5 stuff, just working when I've got the spare time but now I need to invoice them for what I've done.

For my usual contracts, I just do a daily rate and days worked thing but for this I can't really do that.

Is it ok just to put somthing like "development of product" or something like that? And do I need to include the dates worked or just date it as today?

    Thanks.

I normally write “For professional services rendered including disbursements”

If they want a breakdown then that goes on a separate sheet

Don't worry too much; as long as they can identify what it's for it'll be fine.

If it represents a period of time then you should definitely specify that. You don't want any mix ups as to when they've paid up to.
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.
