Can anybody recommend a good web hosting service for my company website?

In particular I'm looking for a decent web mail platform and integrated services that are actually intuitive. I've had experience with Fasthosts but their webmail service sucks.

i've found MediaTemple to be very good. i signed up with FastHosts recently and left within a week.

I use Hostgator who are excellent - anything with a Cpanel should suffice

I have 4 with them at the moment.

I've got a few sites with www.one.com & have a number of friends with domains there too.

Very cheap, easy to manage, comes with unlimited email addresses at your domain, webmail, popmail, catch-all address for mis-addressed messages, mail forwarding for all addresses (separately settable) etc etc. Also has MySQL and PHP support for adding forums or other clever stuff.
