Anyone else noticed a bit of a surge in activity over the past few days? I've had / seen 3 good opportunities present themselves whereas normally there might not be any for 6 months.

Perhaps the new FY has brought with it some misplaced optimism.

Quite the contrary.... a JServe search for contract "project manager" today has a grand total of 3 positions coming up. There are usually dozens.

you must have searched wrong then. i just done one for 'project manager' location 'manchester' with 25mile radius. it came up with 178. even narrowing teh search to 1 day old returns 15.
