Project Management Rates

Can anyone let me know what is realistic starting rate for a first timer Project Manager contractor in London??

I've got a solid 5 years PM experience working for a well known consultancy on various client sites - mostly in transport and related IT/technology areas - so the CV looks pretty good.

I've seen the average figures on this site but would appreciate some feedback from people out there already doing it.

In banking £600 - £1000 / day, but get it while the going's good - if it still is.

those are bigger numbers than I expected to be honest!

Sorry if this has been asked elsewhere but does anyone have any recommended agencies (and names within them?) that are good for PM roles.

Clients I'd like to work with are TfL/DfT/Network Rail/Train operators etc...

But agencies who are good for general PM stuff would be great too!

Hey Lesh.

Try McGregor Boyall Associates or Huxley Associates. MBA are bloody fantastic - no experience with Huxley and I know a lot of guys on here think poorly of them. In IB, I can confirm that you're looking at £700+ pd.
