    Working in Sweden

Hi I'm new on here and in the final stages of sorting out a contract in Stockholm.

I go through Giant in the UK but they won't deal/handle non UK contracts. Are there any international umbrella companies that I could use?

Also, do I need a residence visa ( contract is 6 months +)

    Cheers, Scams

I have to (reluctantly) recommend ITS as by far the best Management Co for Sweden.

Yes, you will need to register in the country, you can't do as much as use a public toilet without doing so.

        Thanks Guys,

Tim, what kind of take home can I expect (as a percentage). I'm going to go via an international umbrella but I'm not sure what Taxes/Nat ins I will have to pay.

        Cheers, Scams

            I'd like to PM you but I can't (I think it's cos you're a newbie).

            mail me at tims_rubbish<at>hotmail<dot>com.

(and in case it's not obvious, that's my 'junk' account, for some reason it wouldn't let me have timscrap@...)

I used to live in Lund, the accomodation situation is a nightmare.
and the place is full of student bars, which wont allow you entry as you're not a student.
I hope you have something sorted beforehand..

                During summer its dead.

I spent most of my time looking at the Oresund bridge wishing I was on the other side

                Lycka till

You could try http://www.blocket.se/ but it's in Swedish.

Realistically your best bet is to do what a local would do: put a note up on the board where you're working.

As to the poster looking for accomodation in Lund, hmm, try Malmö.
Insanity: repeating the same actions, but expecting different results.
threadeds website, and here's my blog.

So accomodation can be a problem by the sounds of it.

How about the tax bit then?
