Elan want Bank Statements?

Every account has a name either personal or a business name, banks do not put Ltd Co on an account name until they have done their checks that the company is real. When they pay by BACS they will have the account name and if the account name does not correspond with account number and sort code then I will not get paid. The account name will show it is not a personal account. -
They don't need that as all they need to do is:Originally posted by gingerjedi View PostLike I said they just want to see your company name associated with a bona fied business account, a sort code and account number could be just a personal account.
1. Ask and get a copy of your incorporation certificate
2. Get your account number and sort code
3. Ask and get a copy of your VAT certicate
4.. Go to companies house and check that the information you provided in 1 matches the information you gave them
5. Check when paying your invoice the bank account name matches your company name.
If 4 and 5 don't add up they can delay paying you and then pay you by a cheque to your company. As cheques are non-transferable you won't be able to cash it if the name doesn't match particularly as the amount will be large enough for the bank to check this."You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JRComment

This to me is just another reason to stay away from Elan, but then they were already on my blacklist for:
a) Sending me an interview that client had canceled 3 days before because position was already filled
b) Sending me to interview for position that did not have a single point in common with my skill set

Elan told me they have exclusivity for EDS contracts and there was no point in applying via any other agent as they have the final say, the Reed pimp I spoke to earlier almost fell off his chair when I told him that, do they honestly think I wouldn't ask?!Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave JohnsonComment

Funny thing was that many years later I met my current 'missus' and she has a sales staff recruitment business - she interviewed 'him'.....
I told her to send him round the country on various high paying wild goose chases - but she wouldn't - I have to get tangled with an ethical 'pimp'!!
Nice norks though....

Elan like to think they deal exclusively for SC cleared people. they are crap and thats from my latest dealings with them before xmas where they had no idea what they were doing or what was going on!I didn't say it was your ******* fault, I said I was blaming you!Comment

I had that last summer with Elan. In the end I faxed them a poor photocopy of a blank cheque with "VOID" written large across it.Originally posted by configman View PostElan have backtracked and no longer require bank statements - but a blank cheque would do nicelyDrivelling in TPD is not a mental health issue. Bank statements
That is outrageous. You'd be the supplier: Elan would be the paying customer. If anybody in the relationship needs to prove they're financially sound it's them, not you.Comment
