Wow, I'm in trouble - 3600 words in mine! My excuse is that I have over 20 years to cover. I don't seem to get any negative feedback and I haven't had an issue finding work so far.

Actually I'm in the same line as Darren and I think the rates asked are a bit low. Maybe that's why he's getting through so many applications?

If I'm looking I tend to come across a maximum or 7 or 8 likely positions a day within my rate range but more typically its 2 or 3.

Yeah I don't have it on mine too. I think that's irrelevant for contracting.

Anyway like someone said here before, your CV is too much to read I would say. Your's is 1500 words in 3 pages, mine is 908 in 3. I'm sure you can condense it and pick the most important bits of your experience.

              .
If I was having luxury of a job in hand while applying for next I might have picked & choose the best rate & best role. But now my condition is different. So I though bit compromise on rate might help me to get one contract. Like pimps might be happy to take the difference in rate so might be happy to push my CV..!! Also TELCO testing seems to be dull...

But the other thought I have is this same CV fetched me job in all those blue chip Telco’s I worked. They why the same is not working now..??? I am still not convinced my CV is that turn off. Honestly the CVs I saw in Google using "cv test manager, ISEB filetype:doc", most of them are not as formatted as mine....my Cv may have some language issues, but it looks to be professional..

Also, I know some testers (senior testers/test analyst) who got their contracts with less than GBP200.00 per day. maybe you are competing with those who are willing to get lower rate. That's why the agents would like to forward their CVs to clients not yours.

You'd think the agents would make that clear when they start sucking through their teeth saying they don't think they can swing such a high rate.

I always ask what sort of rate is on offer before I decide what rate I'm going to ask for. They'll always pitch it at the low end so at least you know what ball-park they're thinking of. Unless they're trawling for CVs.

Chin up, yes its tulip not getting phone calls, but look at the advice you've been given. You have plenty to work on and with now. Get back on the horse and grind it out like the rest of us.
