Top tip: video your next interview and in future send a copy in with your CV along with a note saying "for any interviews, here's one I did earlier".

    I can't see why it wouldn't work.

Hhhhmmm - I vote its more than likely your CV.

If you can cut the mustard technically and speak coherently about your work to the EB then it would seem your not lighting the clients fire so to speak.

Revise the CV at a minimum, get it peer reviewed.

If you want to find out what other peoples cv's in your field look like stick the following line into google

      cv test manager, ISEB filetype:doc

This will find all DOC's containing CV, test manager and ISEB just keep changing the keywords to bring up more or different CV's

Failing that stick it on google docs and post the URL for people to review it

      I hope the it helps

Is this your first contract? A lot of people do not like first timers as they tend to panic and run back to the sanctuary of permiedom.
If this is the case then make a point of it and offer a 3/4 rate for a 3 month contract. Take a short one to get a track record.
You may laso come across as a permie. Contractors dont talk about career and progression. It is all about the job and how we can add value to our clients and their processes.

        Just guessing.

I tend to agree. It's probably your CV. Perhaps it's best if you ask a second opinion about your CV. Also sending too many CV is probably frowned upon by the agencies. Just apply the ones that you think is suitable for you.

Or use the CV uploading tool on many job or agency sites so they'll come to you, whilst still firing it off to a few well targeted positions.

At 3-400 pd he isn't asking below market rate for Telco work.

I've just been asked if I'll go down to 275 (for a senior developer role).

                    1) Personally, I'd like to see more white space, separation between jobs etc.

                    2) You need to include a job title for each position, you have to read all the bullets to find out.

                    3) I think it's a bit too 'bulletee' (i bet that isn't a real word!). Others may disagree.

But TBH, I don't think that the above are big deals. You might get 1 in 10 can you because each page is a bit "busy", but most managers are going to scan enough to find what they want.

However, something that you can't improve. You only seem to have one reasonably long term contract. I dunno if that's normal for testing but for (Telco) development work, it's a real turn off (sadly).

If you are using that link for prospective clients you may want to rethink.
When I clicked it the first thing that came up was an ad for "see my nude vid" and it is not instantly obvious how to click to your CV.
Agents and clients alike are going to think you are taking the piss. I did.

Put your CV on Jobserve, My Jobsite and Planet recruit. Link to that. You will get a lot of SPAM from agents fishing but you will get traffic looking for you.
