    Agencies for Public Sector Work

Morning - First Post for me.

I've been in IT for a while (contract & perm) but alway financial services (london/City - based). I'm now looking for public sector work (PM, Senior BA, Requirements etc.) but am struggling to find the right agencies with the right vacancies. I tend to get re-directed toward financial services, which I am conciously moving away from. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am Reading based and have over 15 yrs experience.

    thanks

Hays do a lot with public sector direct into Reading, also through IBM who have public sector contracts. I'm working on one at the moment.
Alexander Mann deal with Fujitsu - again a major government contractor. I know they were running vacancies in Basingstoke last year. Fujitsu contracts are known to be very good with regard to IR35 - I'm aware of one person who has had a very long contract with Fujitsu (multiple years), was investigated by Hector and passed. Alex Mann's payment terms arent so good though as some other agencies.
    Hope that helps

Axel Man should be avoided at all costs where possible

Max20 do NHS stuff in the South. I've just finished a gig in Kent and they were very good.

                  why?

I thought they were purely a recruitment outsourcing co not a business that runs contractors directly?
Let us not forget EU open doors immigration benefits IT contractors more than anyone

Thanks so far - I'll start working through them. Advice greatly appreciated.

One further question if I may. Anyone know if there is any specific need for people with 'Volere' skills.
