Looking on jobserve rates seem to have leaped. There are load of roles for up to £600 p/day (investment banking, front office). I'm sure these sorts of things were more like £500 p/day last year. Have rates really risen or is this just agency bull.

I know two mates on 650 doing C#/Java for IBs in the City. Pretty experienced and whizzkiddish though. -

Mostly the rate ranges from £400 - £700/day. Depending on your experience and how good you are.
Newcomer or little bus experience probably get around 400 - 500, but you can always push for more. If you have business knowledge can go for 550 - 650 bracket.
£700/day is not unheard of and very possible. However these figures are the past couple of years, it might go down after the credit crunch trouble.Comment
