    Procrastinating Pimps

I am supposed to be paid weekly, the latest excuse, pasted from their accounts dept. email, is: "You need to put our full address on your invoices, please amend". I am in my 6th week of this contract and it always seems to be some excuse as to why I am not getting paid.

Once crafty leftover of the pimp's "copy and paste" was a line in his email which said, "margin £560". Dear God I hope that it is not what my client are paying them, if so I am getting shafted big time - any ideas what this 'margin' could mean?

I would have thought that it's the additional that the client is paying (the agent) each week for your services.

Ridiculous .... Agency not paying for such trivial things is not acceptable .....

Start charging them interest if they are late ...

Name and shame the agency here ...

I could be wrong here but I didn't believe it was necessary (legally), although it is good practice to include the full address of the agency on the invoice?

That's a made-up rule. They're your invoices, you can put what you like on them.

Hays. They have been playing me around loads with regards to paperwork, whether I should sent them electronically or by post, etc.

              Good old Hays.

They sent me for an interview last year for a large media co. Hays provide a 'managed' on site service so all CV's go from the office you contact to the on client site Hays teenager.

Anyway, had a great interview, (media client said so at the interview). Then Hays called a day later. "Bad news" they said. "The client are in a real mess. They have had a break in and all PC's relating to us have been stolen from their datacentre. They and we, are trying to sort the mess out.......we will call you. 2 days later, another call from Hays.

"You won't believe it. We replaced all the PC's, got it all sorted and now they been done over again". "I don't believe it" I said. That was the last I ever heard from them.

I got an interview through hays..ok Hays PAS (Purchasing and Supply) but its still part of the same "Hays".

Got the gig. Initally 5 days to "test me". Then more work to follow.

They wanted 5 references. Morons. They had 2 spankingly amazing one from the last 2 contracts so why they wanted more I do not know. Morons.

I have just finished revising my invoices for the past 5 weeks and am now sending them as PDFs through email.

If they come back to me and insist something else is wrong I am going to... [insert action here]

I hope that you haven't changed the date on the invoices and you have made them aware that you will be charging interest if they do not adhere to your payment terms!!
