PRINCE2 FOUNDATION Exam (Friday After noon) TIPS..??

    Guys ,

I have Prince2 Foundation exam tomorrow. I am planning to start preparation in an hour or so...(late starter..!) . I read 90% PASS in Foundation. I donot want to reduce that % & to lose £200. Any one got any Tips on this Foundation exam..?. As I have another 2-3 hours only to learn this. Any help highly appreciated.. Any one successfully taken this exam with out long preparation..? I am eager to hear some helpful advices from any who PASSEd exam with out long preparation. Any response before 11AM tomorrow highly appreciated.. TIA..

Why would you 'loose' (lose) £200 by getting less than 90% ? Have you been taking bets or something ?

I mean ...from web pages I learned 90% people sit for the exam passed so far. I want to be in that 90% ..i mean I want to pass the exam. Exam fee is £200...NO Bet..

        OK, so ....

        1. Have you actually done any project management in a structured environment ?

        2. Have you actually seen or produced any of the PRINCE2 products - eg. a PID ?

        3. Can you remember the processes and their subprocesses and the way they flow ?

If so, then you'll pass. Remember that the 10% that don't pass are usually those that have real interest in project management or PRINCE2 but their firm sent them to do the exam to get on some contract or empty the training budget.

The foundation exam is about understanding Prince II content, processes and terminology...full stop. If you know enough about these...in Prince II terms, then you will pass comfortably. If you don't, you'll struggle. You cannot wing Prince II if you've never studied it or worked in a "pure" Prince II environment.

Foundation exam is pretty straight forward. It's multiple choice and you only need 50% to pass. You could probably scrape through knowing nothing about PRINCE2 just by applying a bit of common sense and logic.

If you learn all the processes, components and which documents are used by which processes you'll walk it.

It's pretty difficult to not pass the Foundation.

The Practitioner is rather more challenging.

It's multiple choice....I did it blind drunk after a heavy night the night before and still got 35\40....it really is that easy!!!!!

I reckon you can wing the Foundation if you've a reasonable grounding in good Project Management practice - and if you've read through the book even at a farily cursory level it shouldn't be too challenging

The Practioner exam is a different animal altogether however, you really do need to know your stuff - PRINCE2 and practical knowledge - to have any hope of passing that
