Hi there, I'm starting to think about ways to start pitching for my own contract based work and running my business full time.
I already have a few clients but the revenue generated is not enough to sustain a full time business yet.
What I've decided is ill try and get a more solid client base while also contracting to pay the bills.
What I wanted to know was has anyone make this jump fully and how did you acheive it? I mean I know I need some kind of sales to back me up along with a few more people to carry out the work. I'm thinking along the lines of direct marketing or some sort of low cost marketing to get my company name out there and business coming in. I currently have a website but despite having quite a few hits, it doesnt really generate me any income at all.
Also does anyone know of any kind of sales/marketing agency that does commission based work, ideally I'd want someone on board full time but maybe this is an option for the time being.
My biggest problem at the moment is lack of capital in the company, I need to cut back on paying myself and build up some money in the company, but hey I know that
