    I am with an umbrella as I work for the same Co. that I worked for as a Permie - was advised (and I think wisely) by a contractor that Permie-to-Whore with same Employer/Client is a big fat "Come and get me!" sign for Hector, and his evil trolls. Next gig will be Ltd. ... a no-brainer. I do get tearful when I think of the loot I've given away, to be spent on <fill-in-the-blank>.

    There's no reason why you couldn't have set up your own limited, declare this contract inside IR35 and pay yourself PAYE after deducting the 5% expenses allowable if in side IR35. This would get rid of that "extra layer of frustration", would almost certainly give you more in your pocket and would have you ready set up for any other contract that you got that was outside IR35.
