Professional Indemnity Insurance

I have been offered my first contract and the agency asks for Professional Indemnity Insurance and Public Liability insurance showing/detailing cover to a minimum value of £1m .Is this common? if yes then any suggestion on the company that i shud approach for? Please help as it is pretty urgent

Yes it's common.

I bought mine from Trafalgar although I believe the PCG also have an offering (and you may want to consider joining them anyway)...

Thanks.But I can't find anything about professional liability Indemnity Insurance in PCG.All they have is insurance against the HMRC investigations.

Employer Liability
Public Liability
Prof Indemnity

For the above three you are looking at anywhere between £180 - £380 depending upon your PI level of cover needed from Randal Dorling.

I joined PCG for £144 and pay £36 per month with Hiscox for £500k Pro Indemnity, £1m Public Liability and £10m employer liability.
