    Interesting Concept

In conversation with my client about renewing. They have offered a loyalty bonus payable on me seeing out the full term of the renewal. This is on top of a small increase on my daily rate. Anyone had this before? It's a new one on me...

It was around before the bubble in 2000. Clients / pimps used to keep x back and pay a bonus at the end of project / contract. It was to stop everyone jumping ship when the rates took a hike.

Looks like the good times are back, enjoy!

This discussion purely between myself and end-client. Agent kept out (for obvious 'margin' reasons). At the least, it should keep me in beer tokens between December and the next contract...

They're putting a new 12 month contract with tie in vs permanent role/salary deal together this afternoon.

Loyalty bonus for a contractor. LOVE IT!!!

Wouldn't it be better to call it a end of project completion bonus. Implying a risk factor if the project failed and extra proof of ir35 status.

Is there no clause in your existing contract with your pimp that prohibits you from entering into contract discussions with your client?

Nope. This isn't a contract negotiation. Contract remains as is so no need to get agent involved...
