This is the market rate, someone will do ok out of that. Easy to sneer when you are in a higher paying role but if you are earning 20k doing this permie then 800 a week will look great !

It isn't the market rate for a good contractor. OK as long as the OP knows that and isn't looking for one such.Originally posted by lukemgThis is the market rate, someone will do ok out of that.
I couldn't put it better than this site about electricians:
If you want an electrician, and you have neither legal requirements nor any concern yourself for the quality and safety of his work, nor a wish to check his training, knowledge, and experience, then you could advertise for a sparks at £18-20 per hour, and you'd get takers. But not the ones you would want. IT contractors likewise. So what's a reasonable hourly rate? Good electricians don't come cheap: its a skilled trade and its well known that there is a shortage of qualified people. But, as a rough guide, we think the following prices are fair. For small jobs of up to 10 hours work, reckon on an hourly rate of £50-£65 during normal working hours, rising to £70-£85 evenings and weekends. These rates will exclude VAT.God made men. Sam Colt made them equal.Comment

That, or he is smart enough to know not to post a company email addy on a public forum and offer up their mail server for a good buggering.
Let Yahoo handle the resulting spam and can the addy once you have the the results you were after.
