    PCG Contract template

    Hi people,

I'm just moving from Giant to my own limited company and am thinking of using the PCG A05-10 Direct Service Provider contract template. Every thing seems failrly straight forward with it apart from Section 2 of the schedule. It just has sections like

    2. Services
    2.1. [define]
    2.2. [identify any Deliverables]
    2.3. [specify any acceptance criteria]
    2.4. [specify any dependencies]
2.5. [specify any facilities to be provided by Client]

What do I put in 2.1 and 2.3? I'm developing a asp.net based intranet system, how do I describe this in service speak for the contract?

    Any help much appreciated.

2.1 "Develop asp .net web based tulipz using your skillz"

2.3 "If client not happy you're up tulip creek"

Jeez... If you';ve got the contract, you're presumably a member? So why not ask that question on their fora, where you will get an authoritative answer.

But hey, it's only a legal contract, right...

Well thanks for the *helpful* replies. I've just joined the PCG today so I'm not overly familiar with their forums, where as I have been reading these for a while.
Saying that I should of realised that a question like this would only attract answers from dicks who want to prove how clever they are not.

If you didn't know the answer why post a sarcastic reply?

Because you are posting on CUK. Sarcasm is fundamental

Because it's a stupid question? Who is more likely to know the answers to a PCG-specific issue, the PCG or us amateur guess-merchants? You could also argue that the answers are moderately obvious anyway, with a bit of thinking...

2.1) What services are you delivering as part of this contract
            2.2) What deliverables are involved?
2.3) How do you know when they have been delivered to an acceptable quality?
2.4) What external factors need to be accomodated to prevent or minimise delays to the delivery?
2.5) What facilities or other resources are to be provided by the client to enable the deliveries to be made?

Had you asked that question on the PCG fora you would have got that answer (probably more than once, and most liekly one from me) with just as much wit and repartee for good measure.

The golden rule for these fora applies - ask dumb questions, get smart answers. Ask researched questions, get accurate and helpful answers. Enjoy your new contract.
