Would you favour job boards including an IR35 filter on their websites since this is going to be a real determining factor when choosing a contract?

Its a great idea. It assumes that agents have any idea about IR35 though and that could be an issue. -

I think it’ll make it much easier to know when one is going for an Inside IR35 contract. I see a lot of public sector contract stating that the contract is inside IR35 - fair enough then I’m not applying as I don’t have appetite for an inside IR35 but I might be interested on other occasions.
That’s one less question to ask an agent as well when they call you up for the contract. I’ve had a couple of agents go mute when asked about IR35. It still seems odd that with all the IR35 publicity (etc) though, some agents still don’t have a clue or they expect contractors to take on the risk anyway [emoji15]

The contractor determines currently for private sector roles so it would be pointless. The new legislation will be pushed a year or two, no way it comes in with all state of politics and brexit.Comment
