Hmm - I pondered that one on my website, when I looked at other sites it seemed to be 50/50 on the underlined links.

I'm torn between accessibility and colour-blindness issues.

Do I lose the underlines and make the links bold?

I've been advise on my various sites to keep that as it shows people easily what can be clicked on.

Remember that the people reading CraicOn would not be highly computer literate.

Thoroughly agree there, not sure why people are so keen to make it hard to see hyperlinks when that is what makes the web what it is.

I'm curious to know why all your links are absolute - is there a reason for this?
Also - from a user-centric design pov, I'd be inclined to structure the main page differently - having one-three main news articles and providing a link to an archive, split by months, then taking the left-hand nav across to the middle using more screen real estate - the homepage is too 'vertical'.

Not really fussed about underlining links. If you chose not to it would make the site feel less cluttered, and so long as you adhered to the same style for all links, and had the underline on hover, it wouldn't be a usability problem.

I haven't run it through visicheck but I'm pretty sure it would fail a colour contrast/brightness test.

Otherwise quite a good community noticeboard. Would be enhanced by a forum.

Gerry, Where has the ccnet forum gone?
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

It has been hacked. My host / site builder is looking into it. There's some kind of flake out there who keeps trying to cause trouble. Presuming its the same person he had been posting animal porn previously. He spends quite a lot of time trying to screw it up.

One wishes he would get himself a life.
