Sounds like a made up name, but has anyone heard of them?

Many years ago there was an agency called Octopus.
They fixed me up with an interview or two. Never got me a job though.
This could be the same company.

Seen jobs in Web Infrastrucure posted now and again on Jobserve over the years from this agency, when I have applied in the past, they have never responded. If you call them, the guy Jesal Patel is never there...this tells you exactly what they are like I guess.Comment

Wow, this is like deja-vu. I was having exactly the same experience when I thought I'd have a look here and then I see this thread might as well have been posted yesterday.
Same guy, still there 8 years on, still all over the job adverts, still never available - I called 6 times over several days, left three messages, didn't return a single one.

Sent CV for a job with an unusual combination of requirements that I happen to have plenty of experience in each (and actually have a very good reputation in the industry), got two brief responses, they not interested in talking to me, tried to get on phone because he didn't actually read (or understand) my emails properly, but still not returning messages.
The other odd thing is the same jobs seem to be posted on Jobserve for months on end.

Yes. they've been around for a long time. I don't know what their current set-up is but they were once right on the ball. The main guy seemed straight up - I've spoken to him many times.Originally posted by BillHicksRIP View PostSounds like a made up name, but has anyone heard of them?
But then again people sell up and or move on. I'm no longer in that market and I don't know if they are too.
Like I said - they were once sharp and hard working to help get you sorted.
Do you? Perhaps you'd like to explain.I see what you did there!Comment
