What does your contract say.

What is your agreed rate, does it say anything about paying this other company.

I'd say this isnt very common and is just a sub arm of the pimp trying to get more money out of you.

Go play merry hell up and see what they say.

Not common at all - check out what is going on and what the contract says.

The agent should be paying the factoring company with thier cut, not forcing you to pay it on top of thier cut!!!

They said it was their mistake and that it should not have been passed onto me.

I just left it at that - didn't want to kick up more of a fuss when I was getting the money (eventually) anyway...can't see the point in annoying someone who can potentially get you work.

It was not a mistake, they are trying it on. It is normal Common practice for agencies to behave this way.
