      Agents are simple beings.

However you cannot blame these most basic thought processes this time.

Because you are actually applying for other roles

It's not that difficult to see that I'd prefer my dealings to be private. I don't the agent to think I'll renew forever and make them mega bucks and not be concerned I'll jump at the first chance I get. What, if after this gig, I want to work with this agent again? I don't want her thinking 'this one will only stay as long as he doesn't get a better offer'.

          Agents will think that anyway.

OK, well do something actively about it, rather than moan on here, then.

Go and look at everywhere you post your CV and look at the options and privacy rules.

            Change, delete accounts accordingly.

Then point to the date of the CV (you DO date your CV's, don't you?) and point out that the CV was entered before the date of the current contract. It's just normal for your CV to be there - you chose this contract.

If they don't accept that then they are just cynically manipulating you with a guilt trip to attempt to make you stay.

No, to clarify, he's actively applying for contracts whilst under contract and his agent has noticed this recent application history "somehow" from "somewhere".

Oh, then I refer the OP back to my first post.

You lose the trust because you aren't trustworthy - isn't that the case?

To clarify, she didn't just see my CV available to view; she saw all the applications I've been making since I started the gig she placed me me in.

Only way someone can do this is by logging into your account. If there is another way for someone else can access this info, that is a big breach of privacy...

Who cares? The agent is making money out of you and as long as you continue to line their pockets they will be fine. They certainly won't be muddying the waters with the client if they are happy with you.

That said you should turn your auto-alerts off just in case your client manager is stood next to your desk and two pop up from jobserve while she was there.. which might have happened to me today

Seems a right polava over nothing here.

EDIT : Can't help thinking they've called your bluff as well.
