+1 but equally I have twice in this period of contracting (2012 onwards) taken 3 months bench time to get exactly the role I wanted (one that allows me to progress the way I want my career to).. Two to three months between contracts is quite common if you have the misfortune to finish one just before the Summer.
I think the Permanent market is ok at the moment but post crash in 08-09 recruitment of contractors and permanent people was equally as bad if memory serves. Historically it isn't always an option to get a permanent job if things go badly contracting.Comment
