Should be plenty of permie jobs then for anyone sick of government meddling with IR35 and associated tax/expense issues and the contracting rate for their skills set barely adds up anymore.
Decision is whether to go permie before the influx of new skilled immigrants and IR35 being rolled out the private sector causes a rush.
I'm sure the salaries won't be suppressed by over supply and government have it all under control and aren't merely pandering to companies wanting cheaper labour.
What happens to all the indigenous people that could be trained up to fill the 'skills shortage'? Let them lounge around in part time jobs where it pays better to be claiming tax credits on 16 hours a week. Makes the unemployment figures look reasonable even if the overall household income is way below what's necessary for a comfortable lifestyle with the current high costs of housing.

Any other countries offering fastrack entry for people with IT related skills or is the UK in a 'unique' position?
