Well I agree I generally stagger around in a state of confusion but it is actually both. The lots of jobs remark related to Eek's earlier comment and your follow up about Microsoft Dynamics roles and the market/money one to Fat Jock's about PM/Prog Manager roles.

I was called today by an agency who said they were submitting on the basis of lowest offers. I really don't want to get into that game. I've recently seen a rash of roles come back on the market because the 'low bidders' haven't been up to the job. That's no reflection on you, Kent, just something I'm seeing in my area.

I don't get any of that. Agents know the rate range that I work within and don't waste their (or my) time low balling it. If it's an agent who doesn't know me, they might ask. If they don't know the area I work in, they will ask, but I probably wont take a job through them, cause if they don't know the area, then they won't know the rates and won't be able to get those rates from a client. I have laughed at agents down the phone when they tell me about "a good rate" that is £300+ below my normal range.

This +1 and I have got well above an advertised rate when the client have really wanted me in particular.
