I self benched at the end of April as the programme I was working on stalled (short of cash, needed to replan) and I didn't fancy sitting around scratching my backside trying to pretend I was busy. Idea was to take most of the Summer off and look for a new role come August.
Seems I'm just as efficient at home as at the office and I've finished most of the jobs I was looking to do around the house. As such, updated my LinkedIn page and CV today with idea of kicking off a new contract some time in June.
be interesting to see how badly Brexit has effected the market for the kind of work I do ...I am what I drink, and I'm a bitter manComment

I might return and find other people eating my dinner.
So take mid Nov to mid Feb or mid June to mid SeptComment

it doesn't make financial sense because of living away expenses.Comment

And another thing!!
Rates. Forgive me if this has already been discussed earlier in the thread. I've nothing to do today but moan.
Was contacted about a role with a big pharma about 2 months ago. Around the 400 mark. Contacted about the same (or very similar) role this week and it's £100 a day less. But I suppose they can do exactly what they like with so many people on the market.Comment
