    Client who use keyword searches

Applied for a gig a while back and was knocked back on the sift, different agent has come back with a better jobspec, much more details, told them last time I was knocked back on the sift and they said the client uses keyword sifting and suggested I tweak the CV based on the new spec.

Now I am more than OK with changing a CV to better reflect the Job Spec given, but how does it work with keyword searching, is it a tick box for each keyword, or is it ranked based on the repetition of the keywords. IE does it need to just be in there, or in there frequently?

I want my account deleted and all of my information removed, I want to invoke my right to be forgotten.

I wouldn't bother with an agent who isn't going to get the CV looked at by a human being at ClientCo. Google "black hole recruitment".

Generally, they are just looking for one hit per word, so they put all the CVs into one folder, go into windows search and type in: SQL + schema + puffin.

Hey presto there are all the CVs that contain those 3 words.
…Maybe we ain’t that young anymore

This one searched me out, rather than me apply to them, its an very interesting role at a good rate, few queries but generally an opportunity worth pursuing.

That's what I was hoping for, cheers

You can easily get your CV in these by saying what you don't work with as well. For example, confessing to being a wankpuffin who can't write SQL or read a data schema would get you on the shortlist in the above example.

And if that is how complex their sifting process is, then they deserve what they get.

BTW, how come you've read my CV?

Keyword search. We were desperate. But not that desperate, obvs. Soz.
