Do you need to be there all the time. From memory you can work in any office and there must one near Leeds
Not that far down the line yet, though I did wonder about it. I'll press that point if things move on. I can do my stuff remotely, indeed a while back I did it on the laptop with 4G tethered on the Autobahn with the Mrs driving (obvs not me driving!)
I think VM has an office in Bradford, I'll check....
I did a short stint there when they were Telewest. Nice environment, though a lot of work was done in China and some of the code and documentation was 'interesting'.
The restaurant wasn't bad, nothing special.
Nice enough spot. There's (or was ten odd years ago) a 'Suites' Hotel and another ( don't remember the brand) within easy walking distance
at the roundabout. ( used to get lots of footballers staying there, I presume the 'away' team).
You might drop into the 'Pipe and Gannex' just to say you've been there, but It's not a great pub (named after Harold Wilson).
Do VM have a base in Brierly hill? there used to be a Telewest place there.
I was staying at the suites hotel the night some locals walked in and stole the telly from the tv room. Walked out with it through the emergency exit.
The other hotel in knowsley is or was the holiday inn express.
I was a bit worried about that - nearest station, Kirkby, yuck, next nearest station Prescot, where I was threatened in the Comic (Commercial) by this scouser who took offence at my jumper.
That was on a RAT run, Real Ale Trail finishing up in Liverpool, during my Railtrack stint, to be fair that bit was good. Every station from Manchester Vic to Liverpool Lime Street, pint in nearest boozer, left at lunchtime, just in time last orders in Liverpool...
