Exclusivity to agency at application time

    Hi

I was put forward for a job in another EU country, and as i did some research on salaries, tax etc, i found another agency advertising the same role for 30% more. The other part is that 2 agencies got involved in putting me forward, one in India, one in London, so both get a cut.

As far as my obligation to them, i confirmed my day rate to them via email to put me forward at, and that is all, nothing about exclusivity.

I since contacted them, and they insisted it was another role, but i dont believe them. I got another phone call from another agency with the same details offering me £100/day more after as well.

What's the best course of action?

Offering? Or quoting a rate of? Big difference.

So three agencies advertising the role or a very similar role? That's not unusual.

Have you contacted the other agency (the 30% one)? What have they said? Is it the same one.

If you've not agreed exclusivity, then you're not. That said the end client may have already seen your rate.
