Job board with only real jobs on it?

Why are there so many job boards all with largely the same roles on them? How do they all survive and why do agents bother with so many? Is there room for a board with only real jobs on it, and how could fake postings be prevented?

Finally and more crucially for me at least, how about some consistency in job titles, skills etc? My searches have enough SQL in them for me to be able to list it on my CV as a core skill, yet I still have to wade through 200+ results every day to avoid missing the one or two that might be of interest.

Possibly its your query at fault?

Seriously agents are mainly failed used car salesmen. They have no knowledge of technology.
Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much.

The Autotrader site is more complicated than Jobserve, so such agents ought to be able to cope with selecting job title, sector and a couple of key skills from drop down lists!

If you mean why don't some agents refrain from making their posts, and let other agents fill the roles, I think it's obvious.

As for SQL, that's an especially difficult one to do a sensible query on. It's hard enough to query on SQL without getting stuff that's really SQL Server. Surely can't have been deliberate on Microsoft's part?
