Would have been bad if your lips moved and it was the truth. That would have set a worrying trendOriginally posted by Andy Hallett View PostIs it bad that my natural reaction to this was: Invoice Twice?

Yes I've had this. For whatever reason the client is not satisfied with the contractual arrangements via a 3rd party. It may be concerns about IP rights, employment rights, and/or restrictive covenants on working for the competition, and they want to super-impose their own contract.Originally posted by Jase View PostStarting a new gig, signed contract with agency after IR35 review and a few changes. All good. Now the agency has asked me to sign a second contract direct with client in case something happens to agency. Never heard of this before. Anyone else had this?
If it was presented prior to start of contract then I would have less of a problem. In my case however it was presented after starting, the contract was between client and me the individual person, written by an in-house contract person and very biased in the client's favour. I declined to sign it as is. My non-compliance pissed off HR and the buffoon 'line manager' and generally left bad feeling between us for the remainder of the contract. Finally in my last week the suggested edits were made, I signed and HR got their tick box - not that that made anyone happier mind.Comment
