I simply made it clear to my other clients from the outset that I would be potentially unavailable for up to 4 days a month. Part of my retainer agreement was that I would retain control over when the work would be done (within reason and allowances would be made for emergencies) which meant I could either do it on the weekend if I wanted, or do it in batches or whenever was more convenient for any other clients.

    Never had a problem.

In my research it mentioned that if an Agency were in the loop to begin with to get legal advice (and knowing how they feel about handcuff clauses on the client I know what they mean).

Did any of you have this issue and if you didn't opt out does this still apply?

My current client would like to explore this possibility (2 days a month). Is there a contract template that can be amended for our particular circumstances?
