    Dilemma with contracts

    Hi Guys,

I would really appreciate some advice.

I have recently been offered a contract. Presently I have only been sent a 'Terms of Assignment' from the agency which I have signed and sent back. I am yet to receive a contract / assignment schedule between my LTD company / the agency and the end client.

I have also been offered another contract which I am keen to accept and would like to know if I could back out of the original offer easily.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

How detailed is this 'terms of assignment'?

If it's just the rate and length and references a full contract, it won't be enough. If it's 17 pages long it probably is the contract.

It probably depends what you've signed with regards to backing out. The end client and agency probably won't be happy either way.

Very easy. But do you want to piss the client off?

Looks like a general heads of agreement.

Section 2.2, you're not obliged to accept any assignment that they offer.

              Dated 20/08/09?
I was an IPSE Consultative Council Member, until the BoD abolished it. I am not an IPSE Member, since they have no longer have any relevance to me, as an IT Contractor. Read my lips...I recommend QDOS for ALL your Insurance requirements (Contact me for a referral code).
