Way back in time I had a request from an agency to sort a critical problem for a client of the agency which was holding up a systems migration
The issue was an interface problem between a mainframe and client server system.
I did manage to resolve the problem in one day.
However the weeks turned into months and despite some reminders I didnt receive any pay for the one day assigment just a continual ...yeh yeh yeh sort it next week mate.
So I wrote to the agent and asked them to pay the money to a cancer charity rather than myself.
They paid this the next week.
Just an idea but why not try the same approach ?
