In an attempt to be on-topic, RBS is the only finance place I've ever worked at that required a tie. Consequently I made it a habit to let my kid pick out a new one at the gift shop every time we went to Edinburgh zoo for a year and these ties are my entire supply. They've sat in a drawer for nearly a decade.Last edited by seanraaron; 20 January 2016, 13:38.Comment

He has posted plenty of useful stuff over the years, you don't have to like him, but that's a matter of opinion.

Alongside Saville Row SNG (and HKG for that matter) is one of the best places in the world to get a suit fitted. Prices can be 1/6 the price of SR for 200s cashmere. Stock up with suits and wear them every day so you can get them adjusted. Tie as appropriate.
Whatever the dress code there is nothing wrong with looking immaculate.
(Also get one of the $100 2 suits 5 shirt deals. Go for comedy colours (think Dumb and Dumber) and use them for nights on the town. I once got a snazzy Zebra suit. Do NOT wear these ones to the office.)Comment

If I could dance like Fred Astaire I'd wear a tophat and tails daily and treat the staff to a soft shoe routine every morning!Comment
