Just because they are massive in the U.S. doesn't mean that they are competent in the UK.

Contracting has a completely different business model over here for one thing, and as for the rules and regs....

Time wasting nobheds. I went to visit them at their offices once. Wanted me to fill on loads of forms/sign stuff etc.

Gig they'd lined up for me never materialised of course.

I remember then getting a few emails for forklift truck drivers wanted - I kid you not - from another division within roebrt half. Connection was location was near me.

I first worked with them back in 1999 and have done so occasionally since then.

They're generally a pretty professional bunch and I'd work with them again. They also (usually) seem to understand the UK regs. The only paperwork I ever had to complete (apart from agreeing actual contracts when actual work was on the cards) were their registration forms that ask a lot of questions and can seem a bit strange. They ask you to sign to confirm that you are eligible to work in the UK.

Any opinion expressed here is just that - an opinion. It is my own view - unless I have (shamelessly) stolen someone your opinion in which case, I'm sorry (that you found out!)
