Don't worry about agency regulations not really relevant in this case. Opting out does not mean an agency can decide not to pay you when you've delivered. Your contract is with the agency not the client.

You are entitled to payment provided you have a signed timesheet.

Just chase it up first, politely and then more forcibly threatening legal action. They will probably pay once you push.
    I'm alright Jack

Thanks for the support, as I say this is a new for me and I spoke with a friendly agent who had placed me in the past who is also flabbergasted.

I agree with northernlad that it is time to move on.

I have never not honoured a contract before, but it seems my employer had overlooked my contract dates and had no knowledge of the renewal so something isnt right and I certainly dont feel the agent is working for me.

I'd just try avoiding words like employer. Using the wrong wording in complicated situations like this doesnt help.

Is this related to this issue? So it could be you are not officially contracted with them now??

Don't worry about honouring contracts. There is an obligation for you to get paid, if you don't it's in breach anyway so they failed to honour it first, you are just reacting.

I am certain that I have not opted out. There is nothing in my contract, offer letter or previous emails.

              Is that a good thing?

Have you got a signed contract with the agency covering the period you are not getting paid for ?

If things get to a full blown fight with the agency, then yes.

Yes, I have a signed contract which covers the period of the invoice, ie to the end of last month.

I have also signed an extension for May, June and July. Its now half way through May and Im not confident of what will happen when I put in my timesheets in 2 weeks.

Dont get me wrong, I love my job but I woudlnt do it for free!

Job as in being a contractor or job as in the thing you do for your 'employer'? Need to rethink your relationship between the entities and use the right terminology.
