Nothing, was purely down to processing delays apparently, our SO said she had a lot from same time as mine and later (Jul 2014) not processed, Monday NSV portal suddenly said 'Completed' instead of 'In Progress', got email yesterday, signed the needful today....

Oddly enough I'm off to Moscow end of month (need visa obvs which I have, I thought the app for that might kill it stone dead if they have ways of knowing about it...) so maybe they want me to have a strong word with Uncle Vova while I'm there?

Edit: The RU partner got British Citizenship during this time but they knew that, and that was in Dec 2014 anyway. She hasn't (and won't) give up her Russian citizenship.

So when I said "So ask them for an update, just in case it's stuck in someone's in tray." a couple of posts earlier, I was wasting my time...

As per what's been said on a few other threads, quite apart from the possible complication of a Russian partner, the usual turn around time on an ordinary SC changed some months ago from about 4 weeks to 2-3 months.
They had a massive backlog and still do have as far as I know.

I asked the SO here on site several times, but was advised not chase up with them and TBH I'd written it off and wasn't that fussed about it that much at the time.

Still, nice to have it now and thanks anyway for the pointers and advice...
