Anyone driving the Skoda Octavia vRS DSG? How you finding it, any issues etc?
You can check it yourself if you like. My questions on the vRS are

1, anyone driving one (so qualified to answer subsequent questions)
2, how are they finding it (very good, good, tulip etc)
    3, any issues (any problems)

My questions on the vRS arent 'Oooh, Im full of indecision, I dont know what to do. Can someone tell me whether I should buy one?'

Happy to have clarified that for you.

Honestly, if people need to ask a bunch of strangers which offer they should go for, they shouldnt be contracting. (IMVHO).

I prefer the OP thread as it least it relates to contracting

Clarified but why post here at all, surely a car forum would have been more appropriate?

The OP raised a thread I started in General and was under a misaprehension of the subject. I merely reminded him of that so you need to direct any comments on it to the OP.

It was posted in General, muppet! Then you confused the subject of it as being similar to yours (which it wasnt).

Are you sure you're cut out to be a contractor?

Can't you do any better than mild insults?

I didn't confuse anything, I think you're the one confused, so confused you seem to think your contribution is worthy of answering your inane questions.

Its nice to know you're curious re my contractor status but like your responses so far, its irrelevant. Are you sure you're cut out to be relevant?

Yes, of course I can but this isnt General. Dont you know anything about these boards? (Clearly not!)

I didn't confuse anything, I think you're the one confused, so confused you seem to think your contribution is worthy of answering your inane questions.
Yes you did confuse things. You indicated my thread in General regarding the vRS was similar to your inability to make an objective choice. I corrected you (yet again. This is getting tiresome!) to show my thread re the vRS was asking how any owner rated the vehicle, what faults they had or any other issues to be aware off.

That is clearly not the same as saying "Which contract offer should I take?' as you did in your thread. (See, Im having to correct you yet again.)

Im not curious about your contracting status. I think anyone who has to ask a bunch of strangers which contract offer they should accept is clearly not cut out to be a contractor. The question was clearly rhetorical so once again, I have to correct you.

Am I cut out to be a contractor? Well, Im not actually looking for work at the moment although have contracted for 17 years successfully (at no time during that period though did I need to resort to asking a forum which contract offer I should accept )

If you want to continue showing yourself in need to be corrected, I suggest you move your comments to General.

Alternatively, I suggest you cut your losses now.

What do I need to know about these boards? Its a contractor board, the clue is in the name, I wouldn't come here if I wanted advice re which car to buy. Clearly you feel differently but your here for self fulfilling reasons aren't you.

Talking of which your first attempt at a rebuke (above) proves just that, as its clearly not tiresome enough as your inadequacy forces you to return again and again in an attempt to prove your self appointed status as someone who knows these boards.

Next, I did not make out that your thread was 'similar', I highlighted that your contribution to these boards are more about your own adequacy "Whereas your recent thread "Octavia vRS Skip on wheels" is dripping in adequacy"

Now you're making up things in your head and continuing to argue a pathetic cause because of some misconceived quest for self fulfilment. Your comment "See, Im having to correct you yet again" which your portray as some sort of chore when the reality is that you do have to correct me, its become a need and is a mechanism to try and boost your ego by belittling others - only in your own mind.

I asked a simple question, I asked for some advice on this thread, if you think asking for advice or different perspectives is wrong then its says more about how you judge your adequacy than it says about my contractor status and willingness to cross examine options and discuss things.

Your length of time contracting is not relevant to me, but perhaps you need to look for work if you feel so inadequate that you've resorted to trolling around a contractor board engaging with strangers in a vain attempt to establish some online persona and credibility. Looking back at this thread, your contribution is about you and how you are perceived, you seriously need to get a grip.

Don't waste your breath by replying again (but I know you wont be able to help yourself), this conversation is over. I've thrown you a few things for you to think about but I came here for some input from other contractors not some over blown self styled keyboard warrior with an inferiority complex struggling to justify himself.

Thread locked. Fair comments Barley. BolshieBastard - you don't have to live up to your name If you think a thread is beyond you then just don't answer it. Putting down new posters is not required here, let others who are happy to answer questions positively get on with the job.
