Can't even be 4rsed looking it up. In fact I can't really stand these kind of infantile acronyms. I'd expect them from a group of small children who have developed their own 'language' that they can use to snigger amongst each other in the presence of grown ups!

Difficult one. Could be the first guy was genuinely useless....
Or it could be the client is a right PITA.

I've worked at both types. One client thought I was brill for some reason and they were a great bunch. Easy going place no issues, come and go as you pleased. Rate was awful thiugh.

But then a new contractor started. Pulled about 3 sickies in first three weeks. Had about 3 stuck in traffic etc.
I left but then heard a few months later they'd got rid because he went on to just not turn up some days.

Then again I worked at another place and all the permies hated contractors. Found out they'd got rid of a few in the past for various reasons. To be fair, it was a bit of a contractor witch hunt there where the permies would do they're best to dob contractors in for the slightest misdemeanour. I lasted 8 months but then had enough and left.

It's not in client's interests to be randomly binning perfectly good contractors for no reason. So I'm not really sure I get the post

This role pops up quite frequently so either a) they are trigger happy or b) the work/environment is so bad people don't stick around.

Man, maybe I'm getting old but what's wrong with having a balance between money and working with decent people on an interesting project?
