If, as "most" people say on here, "most" contracts are offered at an initial 6 months and then "most" contracts are extended at least once, then it IS per contract - "mostly" -

If you have an insurance policy that pays out your tax owed in the event of an IR35 claim against your company you may need to get each extension vetted as well as each new contract in order to maintain your cover and ensure there's no change in the working relationship....my quagmire of greed....my cesspit of laziness and unfairness....all I am doing is sticking two fingers up at nurses, doctors and other hard working employed professionals...
