Agent unable to work on my behalf due to current ClientCo

Contacted an agent about a contract that I liked the sound of, sent her my CV and was astounded at her response.

"I have now realised you are at ClientCo, due to our agreement with them, we are unable to work with you until your contract has ended. Sorry!"
Never has a man been heard to say on his death bed that he wishes he'd spent more time in the office.

Our contracts typically say something along the lines of it being prohibited to try to cause other workers to leave. Makes sense for their contract to say something similar i suppose.
