@Taita it helps if you read each thread and not make assumptions about each individual's status e.g. country of passport, age, reason to use an umbrella.
You may have time on your hands Sue Ellen.....have the good grace to accept an apology without going on and on............and on
Since my last post a couple of months ago I have received two more "reminders" from Vivid - the last one yesterday!
This company and its staff are unbelievably crass/stupid/whatever.....
I am now writing to the Director who appears to run the company - a Mr Charles Walker - to make a formal complaint, requesting suitable compensation for all the time, effort and stress wasted in try to resolve the problem, and raising the spectre of legal action, citing the case quoted by SueEllen in post 11.
Thanks for all the help and guidance so far, and I will update further when I see what happens next.
Adding to poor reviews of this company. Was rang by them with sales pitch of couple of jobs available (really? With current oil & gas market? ). The recruiter wanted two names for my references and if I had done any recent interviews. I strongly suspect that recruiter was looking for leads. Said that
would Email me so that I could send CV ... but no Email has arrived.
They never get back to you, that's for sure.
The recruiter sends me an e-mail asking if i was available. I sent him my CV and waiting for a response. After some time I sent another mail to follow up. Still no response. Then I decided to call them. It's impossible to reach the actual recruiter because somehow they are always on the phone when you call.

From my experience, completely unprofessional.
If they don't get back to you then they aren't interested.
"You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JR
They email everyone and it's the first few people who reply back to them with the right CVs they phone.
So if you don't answer within 5 minutes with a matching CV you are wasting your time.
I got your point but it still does not make them professional from my point of view.
On top of that, that guy has been posting the same/similar job (very pseudo one) over and over again which at last made me realise that he is not really looking for somebody to hire. I can't think of any other reasonable explanation.
