First Law of Contracting: Only the strong survive

That video is nothing more the propaganda and FUD. Blaming everything on brexit, including the economic fallout of covid, is just so easy isn't it.

The OECD would disagree with you though...

Interesting chart that, presents a picture of the UK soaring ahead.
Kinda misses the bit about which countries crashed the lowest in 2020. Hint: OECD average in 2020 was -4.4%, UK came in at -11%
Even if the UK hits 4.4% growth this year, it's still below pre-Brexit levels. And it's the only country that is true for.

Your source is also hilarious in that it refers to Boris Johnson's Westminster Agreement as the "EU's NI Protocol", as if it wasn't negotiated by the Tory party, agreed by the Tory party and voted for by them.

They are a bunch of scam artists, leading the gullible astray with careful "interpretation" of facts
…Maybe we ain’t that young anymore

Do you have a source for that OECD stat?

Correlation != Causation. There are lots of factors in play, economic cycles? (both short and longer term)... Covid? and others.

It's just too easy to point to anything negative and blame it on brexit!

Yes, the OECD website. Best place to get OECD data from, not just selected pieces.
          https://data.oecd.org/chart/6U8R

As for correlation and causation, are you saying nowhere else in the G7 were impacted by Covid or global economic cycles, etc?

What are you talking about "selected pieces"? What I posted above is OECD fact!

As you can see from the annual graph in the link below, Italy and France were not that far behind the UK in 2020: -

            https://www.oecd.org/sdd/na/g20-gdp-...-2020-oecd.htm

... and as explained in the statista page below, there is a perfectly valid reason for the drop in GDP in 2020, and it has NOTHING to do with brexit: -

"The drop in GDP between 2019 and 2020 was brought about by the Coronavirus pandemic and subsequent lockdowns, which caused severe damage to many industries, particularly in the service sector upon which the UK economy is heavily reliant."

            https://www.statista.com/statistics/...nited-kingdom/

... and as can be seen, the UK bounced back. Remainers (along with the likes of the BBC) seem to want the UK NOT to bounce back, just so they can blame it all on brexit!

You were the one that raised the issue of 2020... I then gave you the non-brexit explanation with links to statistics to back up the explanation.

Anyone reading this thread can see your bias quite clearly... instead of acknowledging the OECD fact of the UK's outperformance, despite the disaster that is brexit (in your mind), you chose to ignore that fact and scramble around for something negative in the past that in reality, had nothing to do with brexit.

You are the one claiming that only the UK suffered from Covid.

Anyone reading your posts on here can clearly see you're unhinged.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it. The eyeless creature at the other table swallowed it fanatically. passionately, with a furious desire to track down, denounce, and vaporize anyone who should suggest that last week the ration had been thirty grams.
