They don’t have to bend any rules. The UK is a 3rd country now so the EU doesn’t have to show any solidarity with them against Scottish independence. Scotland is a resource rich country and voted to stay as part of the EU. They will also be happy to let Scotland join purely to stick two fingers up to little England.

Of course they would want us. We are one of the richest small countries in Europe. We were already EU citizens until we were dragged out and we are currently aligned with all EU rules.

Would Scotland still be as rich without the Barnet formula giving them cash that's disproportionate to their tax take? Or did that get scrapped and Westminster just gives them cash on top of their tax revenue as it isn't quite enough to meet all the public spending that doesn't seem to extend to fixing pot holes.
