Have now got settled status in the UK so can work and live in 28 countries in stead of 2
With settled status you can go wherever you want for up to 5 continuous years, then go back to the uk for a wee holiday to make sure you won't lose itComment

I applied because it felt like the right thing to do so at that time. I started applying before the referendum was announced. It was approved just after the brexit referendum. As it was uncertain (and still is today) what is going to happen I decided not to accept it as the my country of origin doesn't allow for dual citizenship.Originally posted by PCTNN View PostWhy would you apply for it in the first place? Same here. There could be a number of reasons such as spelling of family name differences or unregistered birth (of which there were many).
